The city of Brooklet is located about 9 miles east of Statesboro in Bulloch County, Georgia. The town has a quiet rural setting with a population of 1457. Many families reside here who makes use of the Southeast Bulloch excellent school system for their children. The Peanut festival takes place on the third Saturday of August ever since 199. Here you will experience the fun of the annual parade, a beauty pageant, a peanut run, a tractor race and many more. The parade consists of a 2-mile route with local schools, organizations, and businesses participating in it. As for the beauty pageant, the winner is crowned Miss Peanut Queen. The race is a 5K race with about 300 participants competing while the tractor race is a fun “slow-race,” where the last one who crosses the finish line is the winner.
The Brooklet Peanut Festival is getting bigger each year and is worth the visit because it offers many fun events and live entertainment which is free to watch.
