The Business Development Representative position is responsible for promoting brand awareness and increasing sales through competent networking and effective relationship building in order to generate leads for residential exterior home improvement work. The duties included but are not limited to, building key relationships by increasing positive exposure in the local market, maximizing strategic connections with pertinent real estate agents, brokers, insurance companies, adjusters, contractors, fellow home improvement professionals, HOA’s, builders, suppliers, potential clientele etc. The Business Development Representative is responsible for recruiting new referral partners while simultaneously maintaining strong connections with said referral partners through transparency, open communication and strategic positioning. The Business Development Representative should be highly skilled in laying down firm relationship foundations that are capable of standing the tests’ of time as well as market volatility and competition. 



  • Ability to initiate impactful discussions with key players that will steer all potential clients, marketing and referral sources towards advantageous actions that will ultimately benefit South Shore as a whole.
  • Complete knowledge and familiarity with South Shore Roofing’s purpose, vision, values and goals.
  • Apex relationship building and interpersonal skills.
  • Train with us to learn knowledge of home improvement products and the industry as a whole.
  • Ability to track and manage all client preferences, metrics and media campaigns.
  • Effectively represent South Shore Roofing at all product launches, events and trade shows.
  • Maintain a consistent positive and confident image of the brand at all times.
  • Must present a friendly, approachable and outgoing personality regardless of situation or location.
  • Must be able to take initiative and constantly educate and expose oneself to new product knowledge, advanced systems and market trends. Must be able to articulate and educate all clients, fellow retailers, insurance companies, distributors and referral partners in a substantial and competent manner.
  • Efficiently work hand in hand with all sales and marketing staff to conceptualize and organize successful marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Set and uphold the highest level of professionalism and accountability in all personal interactions from co-workers to clients to influencers to referral partners.
  • Successfully reach out and build mutually beneficial relationships to both partners as well as insert South Shore culture into each relationship.
  • Create buzz and excitement around the brand and help grow a solid, exciting, positive and reliable reputation around South Shore Roofing.
  • Consistently maintain the strongest sense of urgency with an even stronger sense of commitment to achieving results.
  • Ability to work both independently as well as within a team to accomplish goals.
  • Understands and skillfully utilizes the power of suggestion combined with trust and credibility to push the envelope successfully in all partnerships as well as new relations.
  • Ability to competently navigate and utilize all social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, etc in pursuit of brand awareness.
  • Will use our custom sales CRM and Google Calendar to manage relationships and appointment scheduling
